Weird roommate leaves something evil behind

In 2014 I lived in an apartment with my best friend and a boy who we were sort of friends with. We did not know the boy was a Satanist until the day we kicked him out when we found his ‘altar’ in the closet of his bedroom. (We went in to his room to investigate this AWFUL smell that was emitting from his room that you could smell in the hallway and there was a lot of gross things on it-some of which were rotting)

We had not had any issues with the apartment before that and I had pretty regularly been cleansing the space with sage. After we kicked him out, I must have cleansed the room at least half a dozen time as well as done a couple of little rituals to try and get rid of any negative energy that was there.

Well I came home from work one day and my roommate was in the living room, clutching a pillow and terrified; and you have to understand that she had never seen nor experienced anything paranormal and thought the whole thing was a bit of a hoax.

She told me she saw a man standing by the closet when she got home and when she went to yell at him for being in our space he just stared at her and walked into the wall (the shared wall with the satanist room). I told her she must have been exhausted but went into the room and immediately felt a chill run down my spine. There was a foul feeling the second you walked past the kitchen that just got stronger the further down the hall you walked.

I tried smudging the space and it seemed to go away, or at least give us peace of mind. Then a couple days later, we had a friend over and at the time we had 3 cats. All 3 cats were in the apartment with us and no doors or windows were open. Our friend had been petting the smallest cat before we got distracted talking about the weird events. We heard a loud hiss and then a panicked meow and went to go see if two of the cats were fighting. We found no cats in the room and went through both bedrooms and the apartment only finding our two older cats. The kitten VANISHED from a closed apartment. We never found her. (no doors or windows were open and we took that place apart. Moved furniture.. everything)
