The Sunset Of The Apocalypse

It all began at the End

At the end of days

there was no such thing as darkness

or light,

there was only that chemical sky

rich with the dark nutrients

of gamma rays

and dark elements,

that try to poison the entire world

and decimate all the peoples of the world.

Those colors in the sky

no matter the time,

no matter if it was the day

or the night,

no clouds left in the sky,

and yet the rain still fell,

in poisonous drops,

danger for everyone it would touch,

so bunkers were made,

shelters of iron

and steel,

communication nets were thrown up in the sky

determined to keep everyone in touch

no matter how far they may be.

Something the peoples of earth learned long ago,

in the first plague to strike the earth down

to its very core,

to bring forth shutdowns

and lockdowns,

the terror in everyone’s eyes

and the masks over everyone's

faces.
