How Did I Learn English?

Feeling lost in a sea of English? Feeling like you’re not progressing?
I was born in Algeria, where we only speak Arabic and French. I took some English classes in school, but they were only the fundamentals. What I mean is that we do not use English in our daily lives, and we even use French in school. However, as you are aware, English is the most widely used language in the world because it allows you to communicate with people all over the world.
My English was terrible, and I couldn’t even hold a basic conversation. That bothered me, and I wanted to learn this language. So I thought to myself, “Why can’t I learn it? It’s easier than Arabic and French.”
When I was 20 years old (5 years ago), I decided to start learning English because I knew I would need it, even if I wouldn’t use it in Algeria, because it would open up many opportunities for me, such as online courses, great books, communicating with people from other countries…
So the initial plan was to enroll in an online course that teaches English from Arabic or French. But I didn’t like it this way because it seemed difficult for me to complete a full course to learn a hobby.
After some thought, I decided to go the traditional route, which is how I learned Arabic and French. By employing English in my daily activities.
