Shall We Bail Out The Suffering?

Should we bail out the blowhard bluffering?
The ones who say help will trickle down?
Or should we address the suffering,
Or, healthcare workers, in your town?

Cruises and airlines floated for years,
Our vacation dreams held them aloft
They need our help, their financiers,
You see, just there, the whole crew coughed.

This, indeed, is time to help their CEO’s
The deciders and guiders, or so, the theory goes:

Help Wall Street, don’t worry about Main Street
Most of us Citizens are resilient
But investors sigh without stock heat,
And it’s months ‘til next sick wave is incipient

You need income, or care, or meds?
Please! Gold will come. Don’t scream or beg!
Give all you can, don’t lose your heads.
It will trickle down, just look at your leg.
